WORLD POOL MASTERS QUALIFIER
REARDON'S SOUTHSIDE, POLLOKSHAWS ROAD, GLASGOW
6 and 7 March 2010
A small, but quality-filled field of players turned up at Reardon's Southside in Glasgow last weekend to fight for the right to play in the 2010 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters in Las Vegas. The matches were race to 13 with a race to 15 in the final, meaning that whomever won their way into the event would have proved their worth. In the end, it was 20-year-old wonderkid Jayson Shaw won his way to Las Vegas with a comprehensive 15-6 victory over Michael Valentine. At one point, the match was tied at 6 racks each but then Shaw put on a pool playing display of the highest quality to sweep past Valentine in style.
