2008 Scottish scotch doubles championships

The 2008 SAPPA Scotch Doubles Championships that was held back in June at Riley's, Meadowbank, Edinburgh. This event saw 24 teams turning up to play in the event which saw each pair taking alternate shots as they worked their way through the rack. At the end of a tough day's play, it came down to a final involving the pairing of Jayson Shaw and Scott Ross against that of Adam Smith and Phil Burford. As if the play throughout the day hadn't been exciting enough, those that stayed behind to watch the final were treated to an exhitibition of top-quality pool that saw the match go the distance. In the end, Shaw and Ross were just able to sqeak past the Smith Burford pairing by 10 racks to 9.
